Reminds me how grateful I am to Robert and the Cure

The Cure was formed the year I was born, and I fell into their world in 1992, and became obsessed. For years, they shaped my tastes, helped put words to complex feelings, helped me feel not alone. My life has been so greatly shaped by their music and words. I never connected with the albums after Bloodflowers. But with this one, it feels I’m meeting long lost friends, we’re all older, closer to leaving, and I’m reminded of so many moments of my life. And am so grateful for Robert and the lads. “There’s nothing we can do to change the end”? Well, Robert, I’ll have more of a smile on my face, thanks to you.
I highly recommend this album. Feels like a more matured Cure, aged like the finest wine. And true to the angst we felt, and maybe still feel more than we realise. This music is one of the highlights of being alive.
